Hi, I’m Marvin and I’m a B&W Film Photographer born and raised in Las Vegas, NV and currently attending school at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. I am someone who enjoys the art of film and the history behind the processes that go with analog photography. Film photography fascinates me because there’s something about the way it slows you down and capture fleeting moments in a way that feels real and authentic. I love the flaws and the nostalgia that comes with every frame, stuck in time and waiting to be preserved.
Based in Flagstaff, AZ, from the beauty of the nightlife and vibrant life in the historic downtown to the nature and high country that surrounds Flagstaff, film photography has become more and more about the art and the beauty of stopping in time to create something to remember forever.
My work is rooted in a love for the analog and darkroom processes, with a focus on capturing the subtle textures of light, shadows, and place that digital photography often overlooks. Whether I’m shooting the landscapes in the pines of northern Arizona or along the abandoned roadsides of Route 66, I aim to tell quiet stories through film—ones that linger like a memory. I’m also constantly experimenting with expired stocks and classic gear that forces you to slow down and embrace the unpredictability of film.
If you’re into the charm of film and want to collaborate on a project, let’s talk and connect! If you haven’t already, go check out some of my work! :)
