Light leaks are those unpredictable streaks, bursts, or washes of light that sneak into film when the camera body or roll isn’t perfectly sealed. Rather than treating them as flaws, I see them as part of film’s charm—an element of chance that can turn an ordinary frame into something atmospheric and unique. My goal with light leaks is to embrace their imperfections as a creative tool. Each leak introduces surprise: sometimes subtle warmth, sometimes bold flares that reshape the story of the image. I use them to explore mood, memory, and impermanence—reminding us that film is alive, fragile, and never fully in our control. For me, light leaks aren’t accidents—they’re intentional moments of unexpected discoveries.
